I always identified as the Rhoda. Became transfixed by women like Catherine O’Hara and Andrea Martin being hilarious on SCTV, just 100 kilometers down the road from where I sat watching them. A parade of comedic influences flooded my brain with dopamine and gumption. That was it. That was the whole plan.
I’ve been executing versions of that plan ever since. With many fits and starts, two degrees, a produced feature, a Hollywood Fringe Festival run, enough semifinalist credits to wallpaper my apartment, and a Ghosts spec I wrote this year because I couldn’t stop myself.
I’m ready to be let in.
